O’Byrne Cup final defeat to Meath

Meath 1-17 V Longford 1-11

Unfortunately it wasn’t to be our day as a 6,000 strong crowd watched Meath come out winners in Pairc Tailteann in Navan. Longford got off to a strong start and a Robbie Smyth goal in the first half left us trailing by 4 points going into the interval. The lead was cut to 3 points at the beginning of the second half until an O’Sullivan goal for Meath seemed to kill the tie.
