Our Go Games program will continue to run for the season with blitzes taking place each week throughout the county at the various age groups. LSFC Longford V Wexford
Last Saturday seen 22 girls from Melview and Ballymahon National Schools take part in a half time game during the Longford V Wexford LSFC quarterfinal in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park. The second game that took place involved Colmcille NS and Ballythomas NS from Wexford. We would like to thank Kevin Mollaghan and all at Cuman na mBunscol as well as all the parents and teachers who facilitated the kids having this wonderful experience.
Lory Meagher Final
Congratulations to our incredible hurlers on their hard fought out two point win over Fermanagh in Croke Park last Saturday. This is Longford’s second success in this competition, which they first won by beating Donegal in 2014.

Unfortunately Noel suffered an injury playing with Westmeath which has taken him off his feet for the next few weeks so coaching and the U13 School of Excellence are on hold until he is back in action.

Our all county programs are all complete except for our Go Games Referee course-see details below. Longford Coaching & Games aims to promote Gaelic Games within our clubs and county by providing quality coaching in a safe and fun environment for all boys and girls irrespective of ability. To that end Longford GAA in association with Kellogg’s are once again running 11 Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps over a five week period from: July 7th to August 8th inclusive. Our camps cover a range of activities including Gaelic Football, Hurling, Handball and Rounder’s as well as many fun games and blitzes. All our camps are mixed from 6 to 13 years. We will also be running Nursery Camps separate to the main camps for 4 – 5 year olds.
