To keep in touch with everything on a week-to-week basis you can keep an eye on the Coaching & Games section where fixtures and notes will be updated weekly.
20/20 Communication
As per contact from Damien recently all correspondence with clubs will now be conducted via email and through the club secretaries’ address ONLY. There are two addresses per club, one for the adult club (secretary.clubname.longford@gaa.ie) and one for the underage section (secretarybng.clubname.longford@gaa.ie). It is all clubs responsibility to ensure someone is monitoring these accounts and passing the information to the relevant people.
20/20 Vision For Longford Coaching Workshops

All five Clubs involved in this program have now completed at least their 2nd session with some on the way to their 4th and to date everything has been going smoothly so we would like to congratulate and thank each club for their organisation and we look forward to the remaining four session in the weeks and months ahead.
U13 All County Competition
Details of our U13 competition have been sent to all clubs with all dates and the first round of fixtures are on the Master Fixtures list that is circulated weekly. This U13 competition has been designed so as to give more players the chance to play 15 a side football against teams of a similar ability. There are 11 teams taking part which are made up of 5 Clubs, 2 Amalgamations and 4 Regional Units and those teams are as follows: Clonguish Óg, East Longford (Wolfe Tones Óg/Clonbroney), Granard Ballymore, Killoe Óg, Longford Slashers, Mid Longford (Carrick Sarsfields/St. Dominics Moydow Harpers Óg), North Longford (St. Colmcilles/St. Francis), Northern Gaels, South Longford (Ballymahon Forgney Gaels/Southern Gaels), St. Patricks Óg and Western Gaels.
The competition has been drawn up in a blitz type format that will allow each team two matches per fixture with winning teams progressing and losing teams going through the back door with the chance of still reaching one of two finals. The competition will commence on May 14th and run for four Thursdays in concession.
U12 Competitions
This year see’s the expansion of our link up with Leitrim GAA as for 2015 there will be 10 Longford Clubs and 10 Leitrim Clubs competing in two different divisions of our cross border league. In division 1 and 2 we will have a two group or 5 where everyone plays each other in the group and then qualifies for a knockout round which will give all teams 4 group games plus at least one knockout round. The eight remain Longford clubs will make up two groups of four teams who will play each team in their group and then qualify for a knockout round. This makes up phase 1 of our U12 season and phase 2 will kick in with just the Longford Clubs as they compete in the Longford League which will conclude in early October. Dates for all the rounds of the Longford Leitrim competitions and the Longford competition are on the Master Fixtures list with round 1 games taking place on Tuesday 9th of June and fixtures will be confirmed in the coming days.
